A vibrant and reliable performer, Salvia ‘Kate Glenn’ produces a mass of rich magenta-pink flower spikes over a long flowering season, standing proudly above aromatic green foliage. Compact and free-flowering, this variety adds long-lasting colour to borders, containers, and pollinator-friendly planting schemes. It’s ideal for sunny spots and thrives with minimal maintenance.

Salvia ‘Kate Glenn’, commonly known as Kate Glenn Sage, is a newer cultivar selected for its intense colour and generous flowering habit, making it a standout in any summer garden.

Pruning Tips
Deadhead regularly to extend the flowering period. Cut back hard in early spring to encourage fresh, bushy growth.

Wildlife Value
Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. A great nectar source for summer wildlife.

Positioning
Full sun is essential for best flowering. Ideal for borders, gravel gardens, and containers.

Water
Water well during dry spells, especially in the first year. Once established, fairly drought-tolerant.

Soil
Free-draining soil is essential. Prefers moderately fertile soil – add grit or sand to improve drainage if needed.

Food
Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring and again in midsummer to encourage extended flowering.

Pet-safe
Non-toxic and safe for pets.

Sprouts Top Tips
Deadhead frequently and avoid overfeeding – too much fertiliser can lead to more leafy growth and fewer flowers. Try pairing with silvery foliage or ornamental grasses for a striking summer display.
