About this experience
MAKE YOUR OWN: Crochet Christmas Crowns
Ran by Kate from Happy Little Things
Thursday 16th December - 6:30-8:30pm
During this workshop you’ll learn the key stitches required to make your very own crochet christmas crowns;
- Slip stitch
- Single crochet
- Double crochet
- Crochet chain
These adorable crochet crowns are an eco / sustainable alternative to the flimsy paper crowns you get in crackers – they’re also fully machine washable. You’ll be provided with the wool, crochet hooks and darning needle required. You will have enough wool to create four crochet crowns. You will also be provided with written instructions and links to “how to” videos to continue your crowns at home.
Crocheting makes you happy! Actual science has proven that crochet and knitting helps boost serotonin in the body. It’s also fun to create things, choose your colours, experiment with patterns and it’s very relaxing too.
Why a workshop?
Workshops are an informal and fun way to learn a new skill, hang out with friends, and meet new people. Sprouts of Bristol can welcome you to our newly opened back room to hang out with some like-minded people and be surrounded by plants!
We want everyone to feel welcome and safe at our workshops - whilst masks are not mandatory in-store, the backroom is an enclosed space where you will be sitting with others for an extended period of time. Due to this, we would ask that all participants show an NHS COVID pass.
In a nutshell, this would mean you need to be double vaccinated, have had a positive PCR test within the past 180 days (but not currently isolating), or have had a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of the workshop - you can get more information on how to get an NHS Covid pass here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass.
All workshops are bring your own tipple. Sprouts of Bristol will supply glassware and some nibbles, as well as free tea and coffee. Please arrive from 12pm, your workshop will start at 12:30pm is likely to last 2 hours, but may overrun to 3pm if there is high participation, or we are having so much fun that no one wants to go home. No corkage will be charged. Max of 10 people per class.
10% off in-store at Sprouts of Bristol - available during and after the workshop.
