About this experience

MAKE YOUR OWN: Handpainted & Collaged Calendar
Run by Amy Antler Wildling
Saturday 18th December - 12:30-2:30pm

During this workshop, you'll use the beautiful plants in the shop, together with a selection of festive greenery, as the basis for a painted calendar.

Local artist Amy Antler Wildling will explain some basic watercolour and gouache techniques. All papers and paints will be provided and you'll receive a blank calendar and paint to take home.

Why painting?
By stopping to observe and paint the details of the world around us, we can give ourselves permission to slow down. In an increasingly fast paced world, taking time out to explore colour and mark making provides a moment of calm.

Why a workshop?
Workshops are an informal and fun way to learn a new skill, hang out with friends, and meet new people. Sprouts of Bristol can welcome you to our newly opened back room to hang out with some like-minded people and be surrounded by plants!

COVID-19
We want everyone to feel welcome and safe at our workshops - whilst masks are not mandatory in-store, the backroom is an enclosed space where you will be sitting with others for an extended period of time. Due to this, we would ask that all participants show an NHS COVID pass.

In a nutshell, this would mean you need to be double vaccinated, have had a positive PCR test within the past 180 days (but not currently isolating), or have had a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of the workshop - you can get more information on how to get an NHS Covid pass here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass
