Basil - Green Sensation

An alternative, smaller leaved version of classic sweet basil - the taste is stronger once cooked so best used as a seasoning. Plant in a sunny sheltered spot, water in the morning, and keep on top of harvesting to promote more growth.

 Basil - Magic Azure

A purple-veined variety with a slight taste of cinnamon.  Plant in a sunny sheltered spot, water in the morning, and keep on top of harvesting to promote more growth.

Chives

Classic chives, adding that mild onion-y flavour perfect for salads and dips. A perennial herb, they can be grown in the ground or in containers. Plant in sun or light shade and keep of top of trimming any faded leaves or flowers.

Curly Parsley - Frisado

Curly Parsley has a slightly milder taste than its flat-leaved counterpart, but otherwise can be used in the same way when cooking, or as the classic garnish. Can be grown in a large pot or placed in a border. Harvest the leaves regularly to encourage new growth and keep well watered.

Dill

If you're gonna make pickles (and we think you should), then you've got to have some dill! With a mild fennel like flavour, this herb can also be used in salads and fish dishes. Keep well-watered, and pick young leaves regularly to prevent flowering.

Fennel - Vulgare

Fennel is a true multipurpose plant with every part of it being edible! The bulb is treated as a vegetable with its liquorice like flavour, but you can also use the stalks and leaves to jazz up salads - and the seeds are fantastic with a creamy pasta or chicken dish. Plant in full sun to partial shade in fertile soil.

Hyssop

The herb that gives puts the green in absinthe, but it can also be used instead of sage when cooking meat or stews. Plant up in a border or a large pot and enjoy this easy-care herb - the flowers are also loved by bees so it's a win win!

Mint - Apple

A subtle flavour, ideal for muddling into your minty cocktail of choice or even for making a mint tea. Plant in full sun to partial shade, but make sure to keep on top of watering when the plant is growing - once established it can handle some neglect.

Mint - Orange Fresh

Mint with a delicious citrus twang, this variety can be used in cooking or in cocktails. It's also great to have in the garden for its pleasing scent. Plant in full sun to partial shade, but make sure to keep on top of watering when the plant is growing - once established it can handle some neglect.

Mint - Peppermint

One of the stronger tasting mint varieties on account of the menthol it contains, peppermint is great for sweet dishes and pairs well with chocolate - mint choc chip anyone? Plant in full sun to partial shade, but make sure to keep on top of watering when the plant is growing - once established it can handle some neglect.

Mint - Pineapple

If you want fruity mint - look no further! Great for cocktails, or for making herbal teas/fruity desserts. Plant in full sun to partial shade in a container, and keep on top of watering whilst the plant is establishing itself.

Mint - Spanish Spearmint

A milder mint, it's a great addition to cooking and salads when you want a hint of mint, but it not to be the dominant flavour. Plant in full sun to partial shade, but make sure to keep on top of watering when the plant is growing - once established it can handle some neglect.

Oregano - Hot and Spicy

Full of essential oils, Oregano is a brilliant herb to have to whack into any Mediterranean cooking you plan on doing. This variety has a more intense, peppery flavour in comparison to standard Oregano. Plant in a sunny sheltered spot, in well-draining soil, and water sparingly.

Oregano - Syrian Oregano ‘Zaatar’

The fresh shoots provide leaves that are great for cooking and can be used similarly to standard Greek oregano or used as part of the spice blend for Za’atar.  Plant in a sunny sheltered spot, in well-draining soil, and water sparingly.

Rue

A classic herb thought to keep away witches (the efficacy of this we can’t possibly comment on), Rue is also used for medicinal purposes, or in Ethiopian, Italian, and Greek cooking. Grow in well-drained, dry soil and place in full sun.

Sage - Berggarten

A more compact Sage variety, but with a stronger flavour. Plant in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun.

Sage - Icterina

A variegated form of common sage, which can be used the same way when cooking, this fragrant perineal can bring some interest to your borders. Plant in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun.

Sage - Officinalis

The classic Mediterranean sage plant, a perfect as an addition to most parts of your roast dinner - or as an evergreen shrub. Plant in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.

Sage - Tricolor

This sage can be used in pretty much the same way as your regular sage, however it is more ornamental so it’s quite often grown for it’s looks. Plant in moist, but well drained soil in full sun to partial shade.

Thyme - Foxley

Ideal to have fresh to add a burst of aromatic herbiness! An evergreen mat-forming shrub, Thyme is really easy to care for. Plant in full sun in a herb garden or container, or as fragrant groundcover.

Thyme - Lemon

Thyme with an added jolt of sweet citrus, this herb is fantastic fresh to flavour Mediterranean salads, fish, and poultry dishes. An evergreen mat-forming shrub, Thyme is really easy to care for. Plant in full sun in a herb garden or container, or as fragrant groundcover.

Thyme - Silver Queen

Used in cooking in the same way as Lemon Thyme, silver Queen is also prized for its looks with its variegated edges. An evergreen mat-forming shrub, Thyme is really easy to care for. Plant in full sun in a herb garden or container, or as fragrant groundcover.
