Magpie x Hornsea Collection
Celebrate the best of British mid-century design with our Magpie x Hornsea collection – a collaboration that brings Hornsea’s iconic archive patterns back to life for today’s homes.
Originally founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, Hornsea Potteries became a household name for their bold patterns, playful illustrations, and pioneering ceramic techniques. Designs by celebrated artists such as John Clappison and Jack Dadd defined an era and remain as fresh and distinctive today as they were in the 1960s and 70s.
Working directly with the Hornsea Museum archives, Magpie have lovingly redrawn these original illustrations and reimagined them across a range of hand-glazed stoneware and textiles. From stackable mugs and gift-boxed jars to trinket trays, teatowels, and plant pots, every piece combines everyday practicality with timeless design.
Whether you’re adding a retro flourish to your kitchen, searching for a thoughtful gift, or growing your own collection of British design classics, this range is made to be treasured.
