Shipping policy
📦 National Delivery (Royal Mail) We ship across the UK with Royal Mail, 6 days a week. We aim to dispatch your order within 1 working day whenever possible. If you place your order before 12pm, we can often dispatch it that same afternoon. Our standard shipping service is Royal Mail Tracked 48 – £4.99, which usually arrives within 2–3 working days. You can upgrade to Royal Mail Tracked 24 at checkout for an extra £2.50, which typically arrives the next working day, though Royal Mail allows up to two days. Tracked 24 is the only service that may include Sunday delivery. For small, flat items like greetings cards, enamel pins or mossing pins, we offer Tracked 48 Large Letter – £2.99 or Tracked 24 Large Letter – £3.99. This is only available for products under 2.5cm thick and 100g. We always use tracked services so you can follow your parcel’s journey from our shop to your doorstep. Your tracking number will be emailed once the order is dispatched.
🚲 Local Delivery – Pedal Collective (Bristol Only) All of our local deliveries are now handled by Pedal Collective, a brilliant Bristol-based courier service using electric cargo bikes. This low-carbon option costs £6.99 and is available Monday to Friday for the following postcodes: BS1, BS2, BS3, BS4, BS5, BS6, BS7, BS8 (1, 2, 3A–3N, 4), and BS9 (1, 3, 4). If you place your order before 10am, we’ll aim to have it collected and delivered on the same day. Delivery usually takes place before 6pm. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email from us and Pedal Collective will follow up with tracking information and may call if needed to coordinate delivery. If you’d like your parcel delivered on a specific weekday, just leave a note at checkout or get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Please note: the £6.99 fee covers the real cost of this fast and sustainable same-day service – we no longer offer a non-bike courier or lower-cost alternative for local delivery.
🛍 Click & Collect (Free) You can choose free local collection from our Kingsdown shop (2 Kingsdown Parade, BS6 5UD). If the item is in stock, your order will usually be ready within a few hours. We’ll send you a “Ready to Collect” email when everything is prepped. Please wait for this email before coming to the shop. Some products (like terrarium kits, gift sets, or plant rescuer boxes) may need up to one extra working day to prepare. If you need collection for a specific day, add a note at checkout or message us directly and we’ll do our best to help. Once your order is ready, please collect promptly – especially for live plants or bulky items – so we can keep them safe and free up space in the shop.
🌍 International Shipping We do not currently ship to the EU, Channel Islands, or Northern Ireland due to plant health regulations and courier restrictions. We also cannot ship any live plants or soil overseas. In limited cases, we may be able to send non-plant items internationally via Royal Mail if the parcel is under 2kg. If you’re unsure about a specific item, please contact us before ordering. If an item in your order cannot be shipped, we’ll get in touch before issuing a refund.
🌱 Why Postage Costs What It Does We do our best to keep costs as low as possible, but our postage prices reflect: the actual courier cost (Royal Mail or Pedal Collective), tracked shipping, the eco-friendly materials used to pack your order, and the care we take to wrap each item securely. Whether it’s a delicate plant, a glass vessel, or a one-of-a-kind ceramic pot, we want everything to arrive in perfect condition. We reuse as much donated packaging as we can, and every parcel is packed by hand.
