Each tin contains 20 seed balls which will provide coverage for 1 square metre in a garden, or 3-5 medium sized pots. Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds per ball from a mix of Beetle Mix includes seeds for Common Knapweed, Cornflower, Cow Parsley, Field Scabious, Foxglove, Great Burnet, and Yarrow. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn. The ideal mix to attract ladybirds and pollinating beetles – who are super important to our garden ecosystems. We make the seed balls ourselves from our HQ in North London - from a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and and the seeds sprout. All wildflowers are listed by the RHS as 'Plants for Pollinators'.
