sWe love using sphagnum moss for propagation, and also use it in our living and fresh foliage wreaths to great effect! We haven't found any hitchhikers in there yet but have started lots of cuttings in Sphagnum Moss to use in our terrariums or grow on into their own pots.
Amounts for wreath making;
8" wire wreath ring = 1-3 loose litres
10" wire wreath ring = 3-5 loose litres
12" wire wreath ring = 4-6 loose litres
14" wire wreath ring = 5-7 loose litres
16" wire wreath ring = 6-8 loose litres
The above is to be used as a guide only. When measuring the moss we don't press it down to measure as is done as loose litres.

To keep Sphagnum Moss happy, make sure it gets some daylight but no direct sun.
