English lavender tends to be hardier than its French or Spanish counterparts, and it's thought to be more attractive to bees - which can only be a good thing!

Works as a potted plant outside or can be planted out. It's relatively easy to care for, just ensure it gets as much sun as possible and has good drainage and you should be set. If you are planting them outside, make sure you pick a spot that doesn't get boggy.

Notes

  • Water sparingly
  • Likes full sun
  • Ensure it has good drainage
  • Prune quite hard after flowering but don't cut into old wood as that will effect next years blooms.
  • Toxic to pets if ingested

Can't go wrong with a lavender

An essential garden plant, especially to make the bees happy. Made even better the fact it is British grown. By the next day, More buds had started growing
