Bright, pink and white flowers which grow out of a carpet of foliage. Hardy throughout the UK down to -20°C.

The Creeping Phlox gets its common name from its growing habit; it doesn't grow very far upwards, but spreads horizontally, creeping up to two feet wide along the ground. This variety's flowers sport pink and white stripes like boiled sweets or candy cane. The phlox is popular in flower beds and rocky gardens alike, and will grow into a cushion of bright flowers, spreading over a few years to its full extent. The masses of tiny flowers will bloom for a short time and leave bright evergreen foliage behind to keep your garden lush even when the flowers have faded.

Light, well-drained soil; will benefit from the addition of sand.

Food
Creeping Phlox does well in nutrient-rich soil so fertilise before planting and top up if needed. Make sure you choose a fertiliser suited to flowering plants!

Pet-safe?
Yes, though it's probably best for both pet and plant that they don't eat too much!

Sprouts Top Tips
Keep an eye out for powdery mildew in hot, dry weather! Water thoroughly in dry spells to avoid this.
