This cheerful trailing plant produces masses of small trumpet-shaped blooms in warm yellow tones blended with soft pink centres, creating a bright and playful summer display. Calibrachoa ‘Callie Yellow Pink’ is ideal for hanging baskets, patio pots, and window boxes, where its trailing stems spill naturally over the edges in a cascade of colour. Flowering continuously from late spring until the first frosts, it provides reliable colour and impressive flowering with very little maintenance.

Calibrachoa ‘Callie Yellow Pink’, commonly known as Million Bells, is loved for its long flowering season and compact trailing habit. The blend of buttery yellow and rosy pink tones gives baskets and containers a softer, sunset-inspired feel that pairs beautifully with purples, whites, and fresh green foliage. Its self-cleaning blooms help keep displays looking tidy and full throughout the season without constant deadheading.

Tender Perennial
Trailing, Basket Plant, Long Flowering

Flowers: Late Spring to First Frosts
Foliage: Spring to Autumn

Scientific Name
Calibrachoa ‘Callie Yellow Pink’

Synonyms
Often sold simply as Calibrachoa or Million Bells

Common Name
Million Bells, Trailing Calibrachoa

Origin
Cultivated hybrid originating from South American Calibrachoa species

Pruning Tips
Lightly trim back stems during midsummer if plants become leggy or flowering slows. This encourages bushier growth and fresh blooms.

Wildlife Value
The nectar-rich flowers can attract bees and pollinating insects throughout summer.

Positioning
Best grown in full sun or light partial shade in hanging baskets, patio containers, and window boxes. Prefers a sheltered spot protected from strong winds.

Water
Water regularly during warmer weather, especially in baskets and containers which dry out quickly in summer. Keep compost evenly moist but avoid waterlogging.

Soil
Thrives in fertile, free-draining compost rich in organic matter. A quality peat-free basket or container compost works well.

Food
Feed every 1–2 weeks with a high-potash liquid fertiliser throughout the growing season to encourage continuous flowering.

Pet-safe
Generally considered non-toxic to pets, although ingestion may still cause mild stomach upset.

Sprouts Top Tips
The warm yellow and pink tones work beautifully in sunset-inspired baskets paired with orange calibrachoas, trailing bacopa, or soft silver foliage.
