We’re Growing – Welcome to Sprouts HQ!

After five wonderful years of running Sprouts of Bristol from our cosy Kingsdown shop, we’re beyond excited to share a big new chapter in our story… Sprouts HQ is officially and finally happening! 

From the start, Sprouts has always been about more than just plants. It’s a community of people who love greenery, creativity, and indie brands. And now, thanks to your continued support, we’re ready to take root in a bigger space – one where we can grow in every sense of the word.

Our new second premises – lovingly nicknamed Sprouts HQ – is a larger space located in South Bristol within Willway Yard. It’s just a short drive from the shop (about 20 minutes on a good day!) and will give us room to:

• 🌱 Stock more plants, keeping our best sellers in stock and including some bigger specimens and rare finds

• 📦 Pack and process online orders faster, with a dedicated fulfilment area, loads of storage for packaging materials and just space to move around

• 📷 Create content and product photos in a purpose-built studio, which we are going to design to look like a living room

• 🪴 Host client meetings and wedding couple consultations in a quiet private leafy space without being interrupted by ringing phones, deliveries and whatever else

• 💻 Work smarter with office space for the growing team and myself to get in some deep focus time

Think of it as the engine room of Sprouts – a behind-the-scenes space that keeps everything running smoothly, while our Kingsdown shop continues to welcome you in person with that same friendly, plant-filled charm, but with less chaos and even more of our wonderful customer service from our knowledgeable and caring team.

Not at all! We’ve had a lot of people ask if this means the shop is closing – and we totally get it. But rest assured: our beloved Kingsdown shop is here to stay.

The new HQ isn’t replacing anything – it’s adding. It means we can keep offering you more of what you love, whether you’re visiting us in person or shopping online.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen our little business grow in ways we never imagined – from styling weddings and events to expanding our plant care services and connecting with so many of you through our website.

But with growth comes growing pains. We’ve been bursting at the seams in our current space for a long time, juggling everything from product shoots to plant deliveries and admin all in the shop whilst trying to give our wonderful customers the best in-store experience ever.

This move is about creating space – for plants, for ideas, for people, to breathe and for the next phase of Sprouts.

We’re moving into our new HQ in mid-September 2025, so you’ll start to see some exciting changes behind the scenes very soon. While we settle in, it’s more important than ever that you keep supporting us – whether that’s popping into the shop, placing an order online, or simply spreading the word about one of your favourite independent plant shops. 

Every order, every share, every kind word makes a difference.

We’ve got big dreams for this space and lots of ideas we are excited to have the space to even think about, never mind execute. 

We’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes peeks on Instagram, so keep your eyes peeled for packing table setups, plant shelf tours, and maybe even a few moving-day mishaps, anyone remember the massive trolley of plants that fell of the luton van whilst unpacking from Malvern? - Hopefully less of that...

In the meantime, thank you. For being with us since day one, or for just discovering us recently. For every plant you’ve taken home, every kind message you’ve sent, every workshop you’ve joined. This wouldn’t be happening without you.
