This vibrant trailing fuchsia produces masses of bold neon pink and deep violet pendant flowers that spill beautifully from hanging baskets and patio containers throughout summer. Fuchsia ‘Windchimes Neon Pink Violet’ is a vigorous, free-flowering variety that creates a bright cascade of colour from late spring until the first frosts. Its striking blooms bring movement, drama, and a playful burst of colour to patios, balconies, and garden spaces.

Fuchsia ‘Windchimes Neon Pink Violet’, commonly known simply as Fuchsia, is loved for its energetic colouring and elegant trailing habit. The vivid pink sepals contrast beautifully against rich violet petals, standing out against lush green foliage and creating a classic summer basket display with a brighter modern twist. Particularly well suited to the British climate, it flowers reliably through cooler and wetter spells where many basket plants can struggle.

Tender Perennial
Trailing, Basket Plant, Long Flowering

Flowers: Late Spring to First Frosts
Foliage: Spring to Autumn

Scientific Name
Fuchsia ‘Windchimes Neon Pink Violet’

Common Name
Fuchsia

Origin
Cultivated hybrid originating from Central and South American Fuchsia species

Pruning Tips
Remove faded flowers regularly and lightly pinch back stems during summer to encourage fuller growth and continuous flowering. Trim back before overwintering or in spring once fresh growth begins.

Wildlife Value
The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects throughout the summer months.

Positioning
Best grown in partial shade or a sheltered sunny position in hanging baskets, patio pots, and window boxes. Protect from strong winds and intense afternoon sun.

Water
Keep compost consistently moist during the growing season, especially in hanging baskets which dry out quickly in warm weather. Avoid allowing compost to fully dry out.

Soil
Thrives in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-draining compost enriched with organic matter.

Food
Feed every 1–2 weeks with a high-potash liquid fertiliser throughout the flowering season to encourage nonstop blooms.

Pet-safe
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans. The ripe berries are technically edible, although not commonly eaten.

Sprouts Top Tips
The vivid neon pink flowers look especially striking paired with darker foliage plants or deep purple trailing flowers for a bold summer display.
