Celebrate classic mid-century design with the Magpie x Hornsea Orange Cat Tea Towel. This playful cat illustration was originally drawn by Hornsea Design Director John Clappison in the 1960s for a series of ceramics. Magpie have carefully re-drawn the design from the Hornsea Museum archives, using the authentic colours of the period to capture its retro charm.

Made from 100% cotton and finished with a neat black ribbon tie, this tea towel is both a practical kitchen essential and a collectable piece of British design heritage. Hornsea Potteries, founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, became renowned for their ground-breaking ceramics and distinctive illustrations until their closure in 2000. Today, Magpie continues the story, reissuing these iconic designs under official licence.
