Bring a splash of retro charm into your kitchen with this Magpie x Hornsea Octopus Tea Towel. The playful octopus design was originally sketched by Hornsea’s Design Director, John Clappison, for a mug in the 1960s–70s. Magpie have carefully redrawn the illustration from the Hornsea Museum archives, using the original colour palette for an authentic vintage feel.

Made from 100% cotton and neatly folded with a black ribbon, this tea towel is both practical and a collectible piece of British design history. Hornsea Potteries, founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, became known for their ground-breaking ceramics and iconic patterns until their closure in 2000. Today, Magpie keeps that legacy alive, reimagining classic Hornsea artwork under official licence.

Whether hung proudly in your kitchen or gifted to a design lover, this tea towel is a celebration of timeless British style.
