Enjoy a touch of retro charm with the Magpie x Hornsea Birds Chartreuse Mug. This delightful bird design was originally created by Hornsea’s John Clappison around 1967 for a range of ceramics. Magpie have carefully redrawn the artwork from the Hornsea Museum archives, glazing it in authentic Hornsea colours of the era for a true vintage feel.

Hand-glazed stoneware makes each mug completely unique, while the stackable design brings both practicality and style to your kitchen. Presented in a matching patterned gift box, it’s a perfect gift for fans of mid-century design or a collectable piece to add to your own mug cupboard.

Hornsea Potteries, founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, became one of the most innovative names in British ceramics until their closure in 2000. Today, Magpie continues their legacy by reissuing and celebrating Hornsea’s most iconic designs under official licence.

  • Gift-Boxed: Presented in a matching patterned box
