🌿 Our 7-day Plant Promise

Buying plants online can feel risky – that’s why every order comes with our 7-day Plant Promise.

If anything goes wrong in transit, just get in touch and we’ll help put it right.

Find out more here

Every plant is carefully packed by our small, plant-loving Bristol team using protective, mostly plastic-free packaging.

Occasionally, you may find reused bubble wrap – this has been donated to us, and we encourage you to reuse it too.

Orders are usually packed and dispatched within 2–4 working days. We may occasionally delay dispatch during periods of extreme weather to protect your plants. We always prioritise plant health over speed of delivery.

Delivery is £4.99 for any number of items, or free on orders over £60. We deliver across the UK only.

We also offer local, bike-powered delivery in Bristol for £4.99 via Pedal Collective, a gentler option for plants and the planet.

We believe in paying people fairly, that’s why we’ve been a Real Living Wage Employer from the very beginning. We’re an independent Bristol business, packing every order ourselves.

Supporting us means supporting fair work.

A beautifully refined perennial, Scabiosa incisa ‘Kudo White’ produces elegant, pincushion-like blooms in soft creamy white on slender, airy stems. Flowering over a long period from early summer into autumn, it adds grace and movement to sunny borders, gravel gardens, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes. Its finely divided foliage forms a tidy, compact mound, contrasting delicately with the taller flower stems.

Scabiosa incisa ‘Kudo White’, commonly known as White Pincushion Flower, is perfect for informal gardens and pollinator planting, offering a modern twist on a cottage garden classic.

    Perennial
    Upright, Flowering, Summer–Autumn Interest
    Flowers: June–October
    Foliage: Spring–Autumn

    Scientific Name
Scabiosa incisa ‘Kudo White’ (from Latin scabies, meaning ‘itch’ – historically used to treat skin conditions; incisa refers to the deeply cut leaves)

    Synonyms
    None widely used

    Common Name
    White Pincushion Flower

    Origin
Species native to central and southern Europe; this variety is a cultivated selection

    Pruning Tips
Deadhead regularly to encourage repeat flowering. Cut back in autumn or leave seedheads for winter interest and wildlife value, then tidy up in spring.

    Wildlife Value
Much loved by bees, butterflies, and other pollinators – an excellent choice for wildlife gardens.

    Positioning
Full sun preferred for best flowering. Ideal for borders, gravel gardens, and container displays.

    Water
Water well during dry spells, especially in the first year. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant.

    Soil
Free-draining soil is essential. Tolerates poor or sandy soils; avoid heavy clay unless improved with grit and organic matter.

    Food
Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring and again in midsummer if needed to prolong flowering.

    Pet-safe
    Non-toxic and safe for pets.

    Sprouts Top Tips
Plant with other soft-textured summer bloomers like Verbena bonariensis or Gaura for a dreamy, naturalistic display that bees will love just as much as you do.
